WEILER, Herbert G. Jr. age 83 of Vandalia passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Weiler Sr and Jeanette; brother Charles, and his beloved dog Lulu. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sandra; children, Herbert G. (Gretchen) Weiler III “Bud”, Janet L. Weiler Ferguson, James C. (Deena) Weiler, Lisa R. Weiler; and 11 grandchildren, Angela, Jordan, Madeline, Kathleen, Caroline, Elizabeth, Elaina, William, Madison, Logan, and Taylor. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the second generation owner, operator, and president of the Weiler Welding Company in Dayton, OH for over 60 years. He enjoyed owning and showing horses with his father, children, and grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E National Rd. in Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
