DAY Sr, Scott Anthony “Tony”, 60, of West Carrollton Ohio (formerly of Xenia Ohio), loving partner, friend, and father passed away on April 22, 2018 and is now in a heavenly place. Born on March 21, 1958 to Jeanne and James Day in Xenia Ohio (both deceased). Tony was an active high school athlete and 1976 graduate of Xenia High School, then continued to the University of Dayton graduating with a B.S. in 1980. Post graduate he started in sales with DAP. Tony’s career was primarily in the automotive business as a salesman and then as a manager at various area dealerships, starting with Langs Chevrolet, then Dick Osman Honda, and Salem Chrysler, among others. He later worked as a manager at the DMAXX GM plant. Due to diabetes related illness he retired in 2010. Tony was an avid golfer, loved fishing and traveling, enjoyed vintage cars, as well as using his handyman and yard skills, loved our faithful dogs and cats, and was a devote Catholic. Tony is survived by Debbie Jones his life partner for the past 25+ years, his older brother Tim Day (wife Terie Leicht) of Fredonia, WI, his two children Stephanie Karcher (husband Mark) of Alexandria, VA and Scott Day Jr. (partner Mara) of Xenia, OH, and two grandchildren Ella J. Karcher and William J. Day, his aunt Jan Butts of Medway, OH and family, his uncle Ed Day of Dayton, OH and family. We are so grateful for all our good friends of Tony: Gary and Linda Garland, Bill and Terri Witters, Mark and Terri Brooker, Marilyn and Vince Bretchel, Diane and Brian Blacker, Terry Benson, his St. Albert Sunday friends, and many others who were so supportive during his lengthy illnesses related to diabetes. The family extends special gratitude to his family doctor Dr. Edward Kinkopf, the staff at St. Leonards SDR Rehab, Tonya his Rehab nurse at Villages at the Greene, Judy and staff at Laurels of West Carrollton, Kettering Home Care (Cream team) and his favorite Kroger pharmacy friend Mae. A celebration of life for Tony is planned for June. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in Tony’s name. We will certainly miss his sweet smile and good humor!
