Cross, Joanne R., D. Min. (Dr. Joanne Cross), age 89 of Englewood, died Sunday, April 22, 2018. She received her Doctorate at the United Theological Seminary in Ministry. Joanne retired from the Wright State University in 1996, where she was a professor in the College of Nursing and Health. After retiring, she became a licensed massage therapist at Harmony Farms and was a Healing Touch practioner. Joanne was a former member of St. Agnes Church in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence “Larry” Cross and her brother Joseph Renaud. She is survived by her sister Bernadette (Edward) Cheff of Canton, MI, a brother, Thomas (Judy) Renaud of Bradenton, FL, sister in law Jackie Renaud of Howell, MI; a daughter Teresa Doncaster of Vandalia; son and daughter in law, Charlie & Tanya Cross of Englewood; 5 grandchildren; Jennifer, Melissa, Miranda, Kaitlyn & Jason; 6 great-grandchildren, Mia, Ronnie, Abby, Owen, Isaac & Kennedy. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday, April 27, 2018 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton, OH 45415. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the funeral home with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Sisca or the Humane Society.
