Obituary for Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Hill (Lawson)

Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Hill (Lawson)
HILL, Jacqueline "Jackie" L. resident of Englewood, left this earth and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Do not mourn her leaving, celebrate her destination. Jackie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior many years ago and prays that all who read this have also asked him to come into their lives. She was born Jacqueline Lucille Lawson on April 30, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Preceded in death by her parents Jack and Betty Lawson. Surviving Jackie is her loving husband of 36 years Roger, married May 23, 1981. Jackie was proud and happy to be the mother of Jolene Sweet of Remus, MI, Tamara (Chris) White of Cincinnati, Chip Doyle of Cincinnati, Holly (Ray) McAtee of Omaha, NE. Additionally she was the proud "Grandma Jackie" to Bradly (Jaime) Sweet, Caity (JD) Burnell of Remus, MI, and "Grami" to Roary and Bella McAtee of Omaha, NE, and 2 great grandchildren Rosemary and Brody Sweet. Jackie loved her husband, children and grandchildren very much. She also loved her brother Sherman L. (Marion) Lawson of Murray, KY, and was blessed to have a close relationship with him and his wife. Jackie was a member of Ginghamsburg Church in Tipp City for more than 20 years and served as a Lay Pastor for 15years. She also served in two primary out-reach ministries, that being “Anna’s Closet” in Troy, and “The Gleaning Place” in West Milton. Jackie's career involved helping other people find employment. She worked in the staffing industry for over 20 years. Jackie's favorite Bible verse was Phil. 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Jackie thanks everyone who has blessed her life with their kindness and friendship, and forgives those who hurt her. She is happy and grateful to be with her Lord and Savior. Memorial Services 10 a.m. Saturday April 7th, 2018 at Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church 6759 S. Co. Rd. 25A Tipp City, OH 45371 by Pastor John Jung.
