JAMES, Loren age 71, of Englewood, son of Bud and the late Dorothy (St. John) James, passed away on September 12, 2017 after a 2 year battle with Cancer. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna (Bloom). Children Jodi (Mike) Tucker, Darren James and Trevor (Sara Jones) James. Proud Grandpa of granddaughters Maggie Tucker and Palmer Loren James. Also survived by his father Bud, brother Lance James, sister Diana James and numerous nieces and nephews. Loren was a graduate of Fairview High School and Wright State University. Loren was the voice of Northmont High School Boys Basketball for 26 years, president and coach of Englewood Hills Little League and former Northmont High School Freshman Baseball coach. He is a retiree from GM/Delphi after 37 years. His love of baseball, The Ohio State Buckeyes and the National Champion North Carolina Tarheels are well documented. He could always be found sporting some sort of clothing in OSU and UNC colors. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #707 in Englewood, OH. In lieu of flowers, Loren’s wish was to provide new uniforms for the Northmont High School Freshman baseball team. Donations can be made to the Northmont Dugout Club, 503 N. Main St. Union, OH 45322.
