Carol  Bauer
Bauer, Carol Ann, 78, of Dayton passed away on August 11 surrounded by her family. Carol was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Cousin, Aunt, Godmother, Sister-in-law, Friend and amazing matriarch who was generous, smart, fun and touched many lives and hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Cleopha Uhlenhake. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Carl Bauer, Daughters: Carla (Mike) Zoltowski, Caryn (Steve) Maggio, Cheryl (Duane) Nicewaner, Grandchildren: David, Alisa, Matthew (Zoltowski), Andrew, Daniel (Maggio), Hannah, Carlee (Nicewaner), Siblings Jim (Ronda) Uhlenhake, Mary Jean Hartings, Connie (Chris) Chatterton, and many other close friends and relatives. A public visitation will be held August 15 from 4-7pm at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home. A second visitation will at Baker-Hazel & Snider at 9:00am August 16. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held August 16 at 10:30am at St. Rita’s Catholic Church. An interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Center of Autism Research for Children of Philadelphia at give.chop.edu/page/contribute/autism-integrated-care-and-research.
