Danny Alan  Crane
Danny "Dan" Alan Crane, 73, of Brookville, Ohio, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday April 9, 2017. Born on June 6, 1943 in Shelbyville, Indiana, he was the son of the late John Crane and Evelyn Russell. In his younger years, Dan was actively involved in scouting, achieving Eagle Scout rank, and serving as a Scout Troup Leader. He enjoyed fishing and held a pilot license for many years. After a successful career in hospital management, Dan retired from Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He then moved to Brookville, Ohio to be near his children. After retirement, he served as a consultant and traveled with his wife to many hospitals across the United States. Everywhere he went Dan connected with people, and was well liked and respected. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Crane, his daughter Stacey Crane, his son Stephen Crane and daughter-in-law Kristin Crane, and his sister Marsha Ross. He was preceded in death by Donald Dean Crane (brother) and Sharla Hackney (sister).
