Obituary for Norma "Eileen" McCowen
McCOWEN, Norma “Eileen” Blalack Seeker, age 93 of West Milton died April 3, 2017. She was born on September 22, 1923 to the late George and Mina Blalack. She was a 1941 graduate of Milton-Union High School. During her teen years she went to state in 4H for sewing. Eileen was a dedicated farm wife and a dairy farmer herself. She loved to garden and sew.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents; first husband Noel D. Seeker who was killed during WWII; second husband Donald C. McCowen; brother Harold Blalack and son-in-law David Woods.
She is survived by her loving daughters Judy A. Seeker Markland (Hans); Lynette Woods and Donna R. Egner; sister-in-laws Edith Blalack and Marilyn Pearson; cousin Marvin Koogler (MoVee); 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12-1PM Friday April 7, 2017 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton OH 45415. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Union OH or Heartland Hospice. Online memories and condolences maybe left for the family at www.bakerhazelsnider.com
