Kenneth E "Ken"  Baker
BAKER, Kenneth E. “Kenny”, age 84 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. He was born Dec. 8, 1932 to the late Leonard and Eva Baker. He graduated in 1950 from Fairview High School and was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran. Ken worked for years with his father and brother operating an automotive service station. He then went on to aid his eldest son in his entrepreneurship within the automotive racing industry until his retirement. Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Baker, and his son, Chris T. Baker. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Patricia “Pat” Baker, daughter Karen (Tim) Gatzulis of Bellbrook, 2 sons Steve Baker of Dayton and Gary (Pam) Baker of Dayton, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Ken’s memory.
