Obituary for Thomas C Wair

WAIR, THOMAS CHRISTIE
AGE 78, of Union, formerly of Eaton and Fort Myers, FL., passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Jessie (Benson) Wair; sister Joyce Wair Maxel and granddaughter Megan Wair. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan (Happensack); son Chris (Cindi) Wair; grandson Matthew of Liberty, IN and daughter Lisa (Randy) Moodie of Dayton. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Nancy) of John’s Island, South Carolina; sister Andrea Hilling of Fairview Heights, IL; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was a graduate of Lewisburg High School, class of 1956 where he played varsity basketball. He retired from NCR in 1994 after 35 years of service. Tom enjoyed playing golf, was a longtime fan of the Cincinnati Reds and University of Dayton Flyers Basketball team and enjoyed working in his yard. He was also a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Englewood where he served as an usher. A Christian Mass will be held 10:30 AM Monday October 17, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church ,1000 West Wenger Road, Englewood with Father James Seibert, C.PP.S. as celebrant.
