Obituary for John Hart

Hart, John age 87, of Dayton, passed away peacefully Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home after a lengthy illness., surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by daughter Jennifer Hart Schaffer in April of 2016. John is survived by his wife of 63 years Marilyn (Klingshirn) Hart, 4 daughters Candace Hart, Mary (Mike) Gearhardt, Amy (Wes) Wright, Beth (Steve) Allaire, 2 sons John (Suzanne) Hart, David (Lori) Hart, son-in-law A. Charles Schaffer, 22 grandchildren Anna Ferguson (Sean Lindsay), Amy Ferguson, Rachel (Daniel) Prindle, Michael Gearhardt, Ryan (Jenni) Schaffer, Christopher Schaffer, Rebecca (Lenual) Jones, Sarah, Andrew and Emily Schaffer, Patrick Wright, Jeffrey (Brandie) Wright, Thomas Wright, John III, Alex and Nathan Hart, Peter, Jacob and Benjamin Hart, Matthew, Joseph and Kate Allaire, 17 great grandchildren and counting; 2 sisters Clara Thies and Mary Lou Weaver, and brother Robert Hart, 2 brothers-in-law David and James Klingshirn, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. John was a proud WWII and Korean War Army veteran. and was a member of VFW, American Legion and Elks Club. He retired as an Agency Manager for State Farm Insurance and was a member of Ambucs John was a life-time parishioner of Precious Blood Catholic Church and was a member of Marion Manor Council, Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday at Precious Blood Catholic Church.. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services and following Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dayton Right to Life, the Precious Blood Parish, or Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley or Hospice of Dayton in John's memory.
