As a teen I loved it when invited to a Youngerman Family Dinner. Everyone was busy in the kitchen preparing their part. As I remember, Sandy baked the rolls, Joe made mashed potatoes, and as Peggie's BFF, I assisted her microwaving the corn. Sue made fried chicken from scratch. She was a good cook, but I thought everything tasted better seasoned by all the laughter and teamwork. I was just a little jealous.
