Richard G. Snider, owner of Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, was born and raised in the north Dayton area. He graduated from Northmont High School in 1979. He attended Sinclair Community College and then graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1983. He and his wife, Brenda, have three daughters, Katie, Abby and Carly. Rick also really enjoys spending time with his 6 almost 7 grandchildren.

Rick has been involved in many community service organizations including: various Masonic Orders, Antioch Shrine, Northridge Optimist Club, Oak Tree Corner, Montgomery County Funeral Directors Association. Rick is passionate about serving those in need and considers it a privilege to serve the public.

Abby J. Snider of Dayton, Ohio graduated from Vandalia-Butler High School in 2006. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Leadership Communications Degree and Art Studio Degree.

She loves to spend time with her husband, two children, two sisters and other family and friends. She also enjoys shopping, painting, exercising and knitting if she has free time. She was married in July of 2011 to Brett Robinson who also works at the funeral home.

In May of 2013 Abby received her funeral director's license. She and her husband Brett have 2 children, Elle and Parker Robinson.  Abby attends St. Christopher Church, is on the board of OakTree Corner and on the board of the Vandalia Rotary Club as Fellowship Chair.

Marty Batsche was born and raised in Dayton, OH. He attended Oakwood and Kettering Fairmont High School. Marty graduated from Sinclair Community College and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has had the privilege of serving the Dayton community since he became a funeral director in 2006. Marty and his wife, Renee, live in Phillipsburg with their 3 foster children.

Brett J. Robinson graduated from Vandalia Butler High School and Miami Valley Career Technology Center in 2006. He furthered his education at Sinclair Community College.

In 2011 Brett married Abby Snider and he joined the family business later that year. He runs and operates both pet and human crematories. When he has free time he enjoys being handy around the house, golf, hunting, spending time with his wife, 2 children and other friends and family.

Angela Garrett

Angela, our office manager, lives in Brookville with her son, Kendal. Angela is very active with the youth and children of her church. Her interests include scrapbooking, reading, bicycling and spending time with her son.

Angela has been with Baker-Hazel & Snider since 1994. She is available to assist families with insurance claims, death certificates, funeral printing, and any other necessary paper work.

Morris Spees

Morris “Mo” Spees

Mo is from Cridersville, Ohio, he and his wife Kay, who is from Celina, Ohio moved to Dayton from Columbus, Ohio in 1966. He was employed by DME Company a major supplier to the auto industry here from 1965 to 1998 in sales and marketing when he retired. In 2002, he joined Baker Hazel Funeral Home as an associate assisting in funeral operations. Mo & Kay have raised 5 children here in the Dayton area and have been very active member’s of the St. Rita Catholic parish since 1977 that is located near the funeral home. They are also active supporting their grandchildren at Chaminade Julienne High School who reside locally.

It is a pleasure being associated with the now Baker Hazel Snider Funeral Home and Pet Crematory.They promote a very professional and family approach to providing services to the families of deceased loved ones, both human and pets.

John Fleenor

John Fleenor is a native of the Dayton area. He is a graduate of Fairmont High School. John then attended the University of Wisconsin.

In 1970, John married his wife, Patty. They have two sons, Adam and Jason. As well as two granddaughters, Elliana and Abbie.

John ran the family business for more than 50 years. He has attended Christian Life Center since 1993 and has served on the Board as an Active Elder.

John is active in community service programs. He served in Jail Ministry in Miami County participating in a Life Skills Program. He has also served over 10 years in Ministry helping Rebuilding Together Dayton.

John is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Gary Ford

Gary Ford is originally from the Nashville, Tennessee area. In 1962, Gary graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree and then moved to Dayton, OH. Later that year, Gary married his wife, Gayle. They have two married children and four grandchildren.

Gary was employed with Inland Division GMC and Delphi Corporation for over 40 years. He retired in 2002 from the Vandalia Operations as Manager of Engineering.

Gary and Gayle have been Cincinnati Bengals season ticket holders since 1973. They are also supporters of the men's and women's basketball organizations at the University of Dayton, Wright State University and the University of Tennessee.

From 1993-2004, Gary was the host and producer of "Sportschat", which ran on Continental and Time-Warner Cable.

Gary has been a Referee and Starter for the Wright State University Swim Meets since 1980.

In 2005, Gary became a weekly volunteer in Outpatient Surgery Dismissal at Miami Valley Hospital. He also holds a seat as a member of the Volunteer Board of Directors at Miami Valley Hospital.

Gary enjoys the sun and fresh air associated with playing golf. He is also a computer aficionado. Please friend him on www.facebook.com

Whitney Heldman Koehler -Licensed funeral director and embalmer/ Advanced Planning Specialist.
Whitney grew up in West Chester, OH. She started college at the University of Cincinnati and received a degree in Applied Science. She later attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and graduated in 2011.  She is a member of Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the International Bowhunting Organization.  In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband Josh, and Great Danes, Hansel and Gretel. They are happily expected their first child later this year.
