NELSON, Kenneth age 79 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juliet Nelson-Steele; adoptive mother - Aunt Arlette Walker; four sisters, Mary Jane, Lois, Nellie Carlton, and Gloria J. Moye; and brother, Edward Steele Sr.; He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Patricia; 3 sisters, Rosetta Tann; Juliet Witherspoon, and Annette (Robert) Taylor; brother-in-law, Daniel Moye of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law, Lula Steele of Dayton; step-children, Adrian, Twana, and Dwight Downey; special nephew, Lester Carlton; and a host of family and friends. Kenny loved to cook and was a faithful Cleveland Browns fan and always had time to tell you about it. He was also a faithful member at Mt. Olivet COGIC Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Services will be 1pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at Mt. Olivet COGIC, 920 S. Euclid Ave. Dayton, OH 45417. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. A repass will be held at the church.
