Susan Wheeler
WHEELER, Susan 77, passed away April 15, 2018 in Dayton. She was born on October 31, 1940 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Thomas and Louise Short. Susan was a member of the St. Mary’s parish and very active in the Dayton community. She was the President of the Dayton Woman’s Club Foundation, a lifetime member of the Dayton Society of Interior Design, a lifetime member Preservation Dayton and the St. Anne’s Hill Historical Association.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Col. Kenneth R. Wheeler; children Wendy Dombeck (husband Thomas), Brian Wheeler (wife Frances) and Kristin Wheeler; grandchildren Stephanie Kramer, Mike Januszewski (wife Callie), Matt Januszewski, Kassi Gilden (husband Larry), Kenneth Wheeler (wife Emily), Brett Wheeler, Jason McKeeby (wife Jennifer) and Cameron McKeeby (wife Josephina); great grandchildren Jace Januszewski, Greyson Gilden, Elsie Gilden, Ryder McKeeby and Roman McKeeby

Susan is preceded in death by her sister Marty Lowe.

A funeral Mass will be held 11AM Friday April 20, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 310 Allen Street Dayton, Oh 45410. The family will receive friends 10AM until time of service at the church. Following the Mass, a private inurnment ceremony will be held at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Alzheimer’s Association in Susan’s memory.
