Condolence From: Crystal Hammon
Condolence: When I married into the Hammon family 28 years ago, Bob Hittner was the first of Jane and Jerry’s friends to welcome me. From then on, I knew that he loved me entirely as much as he did the Hammon kids.

In a lifetime, one only has a few treasured people who make you feel like a million bucks because they are always are utterly delighted to see you. Bob was that for us.

More than partners and friends, Bob and Zoe, you have always and forever been part of our family. You’ve played with us, celebrated with us, and comforted us through life’s most difficult losses.

When Jane and Jerry were sick, you encouraged them and helped them in every possible way. To have our parents’ closest friends with us during sickness and death was an indescribable balm. We felt less orphaned because you were with us. There was never a more faithful friend than Bob.

Mercy, we’re going to miss the way he lit up a room with joy and mischief. We’re heartbroken to lose him, but because Bob was a man of faith, we are confident that his death is counted a victory in God’s kingdom. Our hearts go out to all of you.

With much love,
Crystal Hammon

Condolence: Dear Zoe and family,
Dr. Hittner was always my favorite radiologist, when I was a student at GSH and when I worked for Med. Rad. He was always kind and soft spoken and went out of his way to make things easier. For example he would pick me up on his days at the downtown office, so I would not have to take the bus on cold and warm mornings. I will miss his smile and greetings at the Schuster Center. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Blessings, Jane Bensman
