DILLON, Richard A. “Monk”, 74 passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Dayton. He was born on July 22, 1943 in Dayton to the late Clyde and Mary Dillon. Monk graduated from Chaminade High School in 1960. He retired from Children’s Hospital. He was a member of the Dayton Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame, VFW Post 7741 and a life-time member of the Irish Club.
He is also preceded in death by his son Jordan Dillon. Monk is survived by his son Jason and wife Olivia; 2 grandsons Jake and Jaxon; 2 brothers Dave and Jim; loving partner Phyllis Treat; Kim and Terry “Sky” Gorman and Terry “Redhead” Young, who were longtime family friends.
A visitation will be held 5-8 Thursday March 29, 2018 at Baker Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton OH 45415. Private Burial held at Shiloh Park Cemetery.
