Obituary for Paul William Buhr

BUHR, Paul William, age 97 of Vandalia, died Tuesday, March 13th at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born September 27, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Arnold and Lydia Buhr. Paul spent many years in Cincinnati, Ohio until moving to the Dayton area in 1970. Paul served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked in the construction field since 1940 and retired in 2007 from Reick Services as an Estimator. Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joseph Buhr, sister, Rosemary Hartman, mother of his children, Jane Buhr, son-in-law Justin L. Bair and daughter-in-law Lisa G. Buhr. Survived by his wife Nancy L. Buhr, son, James W. Buhr of Kettering, daughter, Kathy L. Bair of Middletown and step-daughter, Karen K. McNabb (Steve) of Germantown, Ohio; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Halsey, James Randall Buhr and Kyle William Buhr; great-grandchild, Kemper James Halsey, Harlan James Buhr and Paxton Lennox Halsey. Services and a Celebration of Paul's Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17th at Baker-Hazel-Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Drive at N. Main St. by Rev. Bobbie Predmore. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11am until time of services. Final resting place will be at Woodland Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.
