Obituary for Alice Ann Gerhart
GERHART, Alice Ann 83, passed away peacefully and entered the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born on May 5, 1934, in Stevensville, Montana, to the late Melvin and Alice Lucille Porch.
Alice, known as ‘Granny’ or ‘Sally’ to her friends and her family, lived life to the fullest. She loved to cook, entertain, and fish. Nothing made her happier than to see one of her children or grandchildren wet a line and catch a fish. She attended Shiloh Church in Dayton and was very active cooking meals for the youth at summer camp with her mother and sister. She loved Christmas and always was able to find that one perfect gift for family and friends. Later in life she opened ‘Sally’s Café’ in Troy, a successful ‘Home Cooking’ restaurant.
She is preceded in death by her four brothers Duff, Bill, Jim, Don and sister Esther.
Alice is survived by her loving children Mark (Paulette) Gerhart, Lori (Richard) Troxell, Douglas (Christal) Gerhart; grandchildren Christopher (Andrea), Amy Beth, Gina, Eryn (Matt), Alexa and Skye and four
great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 1PM Friday February 9, 2018 at Shiloh Church 5300 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton OH 45415. The family will receive visitors 11:30am until time of service at Shiloh Church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to The Cancer Society. Online memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.bakerhazelsnider.com
