KOLB, Sylvia age 89 of Brookville, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She and her husband Steve were the founders and operators of The Old Hickory Barbecue Restaurants in Dayton. Preceded in death by daughter Connie Kolb. Survived by her husband of 70 years Steve, daughters Deborah Beauchamp and her husband Tom Clark, Vickie (Dan) Johnson, 5 grandchildren Stephen (Bonnie) Martin, Buckeye (Rhonda) Beauchamp, Jessica (Mike) Manis, Shasta Beauchamp, Turner Shaddon, and 6 great grandchildren. Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. by Father Timothy Knepper C.PP.S. Entombment Woodland Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ohio Hospice of Dayton in Sylvia’s memory.
