Condolence: Mr. Reed was at both Smith and Butler while I was a student there in the 80's (early). He was a bit scary and very firm. But he was always fair and had a great sense of humor. I think of him often and I am so sorry to hear about his passing. My best wishes to all of his family.

Condolence: ‘Mr Reed’ as the students knew him was one of the most passionate Teachers and Coaches at Smith jr High as it was know back then - he was the first Teacher that I can honestly say made a difference in my life - we painted the smith helmets in my barn and Steve with a big grin sprayed the 4-5 football players with yellow paint

We both taught science and shared many hours talking or discussing issues. He was a stickler for perfection in the classroom, in the athletic arena and his personal life.
