Obituary for Bonnie Jean O'Hara

O’HARA, Bonnie Jean, age 65, died in Frankfort, KY on December 5, 2017. She was born in Dayton on January 26, 1952 to the late Lloyd Hensel O’Hara and Mary Bissett O’Hara. Bonnie Jean attended Valley Day School until she was 10 years of age, at which time she became a resident of Stewart Home School in Frankfort, KY. She played basketball for her school for many years and later became a school cheerleader. She loved dancing, bowling and swimming. Bonnie Jean was well-traveled having spent many vacations on the ocean at Bethany Beach, DE; several trips to Walt Disney in FL; a week in the Grand Canyon; a cruise to the Bahamas; a trip to Branson, MO, which is the second home of country western music; and annual winter vacations with her parents in Florida. In 2003, Bonnie Jean was the winner of the school Beauty Pageant receiving the title of “Miss Stewart Home School 2003”. She is survived by her sisters Kathleen Bond of Louisville, KY and Nancy O’Hara of Dayton, plus many cousins. Bonnie Jean enjoyed a full and happy life in spite of her natal mental handicap. She loved her school and her family. She was truly a Special Person. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Stewart Home School, 4200 Lawrenceburg Rd. Frankfort, KY 40601.
