The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mark Harris can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Jerod Carr
Condolence: When I heard of Mark's passing it weighed heavy on my heart. Mark was like a second father to me and a very close friend. Though distance became a factor after I moved far from Ohio, Mark and his family surfaced often in my thoughts and prayers. I know the past few years have not been easy, though Mark and his family always seemed to handle it with poise and grace. Even when I visited Mark at his bedside, he was his usual boisterous self with a smile on his face and his positivity spilling over. His attitude toward life was contagious and even after his sickness had condemned him to the bed, he did not let that take away his smile and positive outlook.

Our families camped together, travelled on vacations together, and took numerous trips to West Virginia and Kentucky to serve along side Mark and his family with Appalachia Service Project. We worshiped together, prayed together and learned together through the Shiloh Church Youth Group. He helped me grow spiritually as we grew spiritually together through God. Many of my childhood memories include Mark and his family because our families were, and remain, so close.

There is now a hole forever in my heart and I am deeply saddened by his passing. But I am forever grateful for the things he taught me, the love he showed me and the memories he gave me. I cherish the time we spent together.

The world lost a special person on December 2nd, 2017 and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. I am very saddened that I will be unable to attend, but please consider me to be there in spirit during his remembrance service and celebration of his life.
