Obituary for Richard Dinneen


Richard F. Dinneen died, September 4, age 88. He was the second child of Robert and Fay Dinneen, born October 31,1928. On November 6, 1948 he married his high school sweetheart, Sara Ann Gast, who survives, following 68 years of marriage. Dick is also survived by their three devoted children and their spouses: Will Dinneen (Peter Dean Beck), Dave Dinneen, (Cindy), and Sara Hallstein (Duane); four loving grandchildren: Jennifer Rankin (Alan); Nathan Dinneen, (Christine); Theresa King (Jesse), SaraRae Hallstein, ten great grandchildren, and his brother Bob (Nancy).

Dick graduated from Fairview HS and Electricians Apprentice School. He was an active member of Fairview UM Church, Dayton Lodge #147 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, former member Antioch Shrine, Greeter Unit, member Dayton Canoe Club, served as Commodore, 65 yr member IBEW Local 82.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9 at Fairview UM Church, 828 W. Fairview Ave. The family will greet guests from 11:00 to 12:45. Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 with reception to follow. Remembrance gifts may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
