Obituary for Chester E. Rogers

ROGERS, Chester Elson, age 91 of Dayton, passed into his spirit on Monday, March 13, 2017. Chester was born Dec. 28, 1925 in Scottburg, IN to James and Eskum Rogers who have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Ann Rogers as well as a son Dr. Paul Rogers D.D.S. and daughter Maryann Allen. He is survived by son James (Nina) Rogers, granddaughters Dr. Corrinne Rogers (Shawn) Crittenden, Jill (Scott) Callahan Megan Ann Sullivan, Claire Ellen Rogers, 3 great grandchildren Kristi, Elle and Cameron, special friend Edith Fuson and her deceased son Michael Aguayo, and numerous other friends and family. Chester served his country in the U.S. Navy, which was attached to the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific during WWII. Chester was past President and owner of Pantorium Cleaners and Laundry. He was past President of the Miami Valley Cleaners Guild and past President of Dayton View Optimist. After retirement from Pantorium, he became a Massage Therapist and Certified Acuppressurist. He enjoyed bridge, golf and ballroom dancing. Services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. by Pastor Steve Gettinger. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of services.
