George A  Yancey
YANCEY, GEORGE A. JR. age 76, of Butler Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 24, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1940 to the late George Sr. and Ernestine Yancey in Somerset, Kentucky.
George is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy E. (Smith); daughter Peggy Joanne and Chris Gaston; son George Brian and Katrina Yancey; grandchildren Matthew, Emma and Sean; sisters Betty Norwood and Norma Berry.
George was a 1958 graduate of Roosevelt High School, a General Motors-Inland retiree, and a member of the UAW union and UFCW retirees club. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting in Indiana.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 30th at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton @ N. Main St. The family will receive friends and family from 9:00am to 10:30am at the funeral home, services following at 10:30. Entombment at Dayton Memorial Park.
