Obituary for Virgil Ray "Bud" Engle

ENGLE, Virgil Ray, “Bud” age 90, of Friendship Village, formerly of West Milton, died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Upper Valley Medical Center in the Hospice Unit. He was a member of West Milton Church of the Brethren. He retired from GM as a Plumber in 1987. Virgil was an active member of the Laura Lions Club, Milton Lodge # 577 F. & A. M., Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and Antioch Shrine Temple.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Miriam (Johnston) Engle. Survived by son David (Carolyn) of Piqua, daughter Elaine (Danny) Jones of Huber Heights, son Daryl (Pamela) of Dayton, grandchildren Heather (Eric) Galentine, Todd (Bette) Richard, Jon Richard, Carrie (Kyle) Blacketer, Lauren (Dave) Vaughn, Allison Epperley and great grandchildren, Lucas, Devin, Conner and Logan Richard, Grayson, Cayden and Hadley Maye Galentine, Brenden Blacketer, Miah, Braylen, Adison Lowe, 3 sisters Virginia Engle, Annabelle (Earl) Keifer, Janet (Lamar) Rissinger.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St., Chaplain David Snowdon officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Crippled Children or Miami County Hospice.
