Obituary for Rosalie D. Vance (Dillon)

VANCE, Rosalie D., age 76 of Vandalia, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Rosalie was born July 26, 1938 in Swayzee, IN to the late Charles & Mildred Dillon. Rosalie was a 1956 graduate of Swayzee High School and a graduate of Sinclair Community College. She retired from Mead Corp. with 25 years of service as a Job Specialist in Corporate Engineering. She was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Sue, granddaughters Ashley M. Guizzo and Jenifer A. Vance, sister-in-law Shirley Dillon and brother-in-law Donald L. Vance. She is survived by her husband Bob of 36 years, 2 daughters Anita K. Starrett and Tania R. Stone, 2 step-sons Robert H. (Anne) Vance Jr. & Jeffrey S. Vance, 4 grandchildren John Vance, Josh and Shannon Vance, Brendon Starrett, 3 brothers Duane Dillon of Raleigh, NC, Jim Dillon of Geneva, IL, and John Dillon of Mundelein, IL, 3 nieces and a nephew, sister-in-law Nancy Vance, special friends Roberta and Jack Bliss of Dayton, Jim and Judi Nibbeling of Tucson, Arizona, Dave and Edna Alligood of Tucson, and many other friends in the Tucson area. Memorial Services 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Tipp City U.M.C. 8 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH by Pastor Bonita Ritchie. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton, St. Jude’s Hospital for Children or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Rosalie’s memory.
