NEFF, Beverly Ann (Coates), "Bev", age 84, of Dayton passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013. She was born August 19, 1929 to the late Irving L. & Caroline A. (Waddle) Wade in Oak Park, IL. Bev was a graduate of LTHS, La Grange, IL, and Miami University in Oxford, OH where she met Russell L. Coates She attended First Congregational Church, in Western Springs and was married to Russell L. Coates on December 23, 1948. She was a long time member of Shiloh Church where she sang in the choir. Bev was a member of the Dayton's Carvers Guild. Preceded in death by husbands Russell L. Coates on Nov. 13, 1978 and Wilbur E. Neff on April 23, 2013. She is survived by a son James R. "Jim" (Pat) Coates of Apollo Beach, FL, 3 daughters Martha E. "Marti" (Keith) Nicoll of North Canton, OH, Laura L. (Michael) Anstead of Lexington, KY, Wendy M. Coates of Cincinnati, OH, 2 grandsons Christopher & Sean Anstead, She is also survived by a sister Joyce C. Romero of Burr Ridge, IL and her sons Richard, Robert and Ronald "Chip" Romero, 2 step children Karen Neff and Steven Neff and their families. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Church 5300 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton, OH, at N. Main St. by Rev. Dick Van Tine. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon until time of services. Interment Shiloh Park Cemetery.
