Obituary for Norman W. "Buck" Unger

Norman UngerUNGER, Norman W. “Buck”, age 81 of Arcanum, died Sunday, March 7, 2010. He attended Roosevelt High School and was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Norman retired from TE-CO.

Preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Grace Unger, brother and sister-in-law Lester and June Unger, nephew Lester “Sonny” Unger Jr. and brother-in-law Robert Howe. Survived by his wife of 42 years Ida, son Dirk Unger of Brookville, sister Wauneta Howe of Dayton, step daughter Celeste (Blaine II) Heeter of Brookville, step son Gary (Julia) Tipton of Englewood, 6 grandchildren Dirk Jr. “D.J.” and Titus Unger, Blaine III and Seth Heeter, Jason Tipton and Stephanie Winks, 2 great grandchildren, niece Vickey Lapham of FL.

Services and a Celebration of Norman’s Life will be held 11:00 Thursday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. by Rev. Dan Hill. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made the Hospice of Miami County.
